Draft oJobPub 1.0.0-draft.1 is open for feedback

Publish jobs on your own website. Let the whole web find them.

oJobPub is a free, open format for job openings. Add one small file to your website, and job boards, search engines and apps can list your jobs, while applications still come straight to you.

Our mission

Make publishing and finding job openings free, simple and convenient, on the employer's own website, in one open format anyone can read.

  • A carpenter measuring timber on a building site
  • Staff preparing orders behind a café counter
  • A potter shaping clay at the wheel in a workshop
  • A team working together on laptops at a long table
From the workshop to the café to the office: every workplace has openings, and every employer should be able to publish them without paying a portal.

How it works

Four steps. No account, no listing fees, no middleman.

  1. Keep your jobs on your website

  2. Add an ojobpub.json file

  3. Add your website to SourceTracker

  4. Get found

Our goals

What changes when job openings are published in the open.

Jobs get found

Structured data and an open standard let many platforms and job boards pick up your openings. You reach a broader audience without posting anything twice.

Use your website

Publish job openings on your own website and keep full control over your listings and your application process.

Reduce costs

No listing fees and no copying the same job into ten portals. Open standards save you time and money.

Open standard

oJobPub is open and free to implement, so search engines and job platforms can index your listings reliably.

The format

oJobPub is a small, readable JSON document with a public JSON Schema. The specification is a draft (version 1.0.0-draft.1), and feedback is welcome.

  • Lives at https://<your-domain>/.well-known/ojobpub.json
  • Served over HTTPS as application/json
  • Redirects are allowed, so the file can be hosted anywhere
