oJobPub for Odoo: publish your jobs straight from your Odoo website

Our free Odoo module publishes the jobs on your Odoo website as an oJobPub feed. It is available for Odoo 18, 19 and 20, Community and Enterprise.

If you don’t have a system for your job openings yet, Publisher maintains your ojobpub.json for you, and on WordPress the oJobPub plugin does the job. Many employers, though, run their careers page on Odoo. For them, the free oJobPub – Open Job Feed for Job Boards module is now in the Odoo Apps Store for Odoo 18, Odoo 19 and Odoo 20. It takes the jobs you already publish on your Odoo website and serves them at /.well-known/ojobpub.json on your own domain.

What the module does for you

  • Works with what you have. The module reads the jobs you publish with Odoo’s Recruitment and Online Jobs apps. You don’t enter anything twice. It works with Odoo Community and Enterprise.
  • On from the start. Once installed, the feed is live. You find its settings in the website settings under Job Feed, together with links to Open feed and Register at SourceTracker.
  • Jobs come and go on their own. A job leaves the feed when you unpublish it, when its Apply Before date has passed, or when you tick Exclude from oJobPub.
  • Every language of your website. With oJobPub Languages you decide which languages appear in the feed. By default, a job gets an extra entry for each website language in which you have translated it.
  • More details if you want them. The new oJobPub tab on the job position takes the job type, work type, experience level, workload, salary range and keywords. A Feed Summary of up to 1000 characters is optional; without one, the module uses the job summary as plain text. Odoo’s standard employment types come with a matching oJobPub job type already set.
  • Job boards see real changes. The feed’s lastUpdated date also changes when you remove a job, so job boards notice that it’s gone.
  • Applications still come to you. Each entry links to the job’s page on your website, where your application process stays.

The feed contains only data you already publish on your job pages. The module sends nothing to third parties.

Get started in four steps

  1. Download the module for your Odoo version from the Apps Store and add it to your addons path.
  2. Update the apps list and install oJobPub – Open Job Feed for Job Boards.
  3. Open the website settings, check Job Feed and click Open feed to see your jobs as job boards see them.
  4. Add your domain to SourceTracker, so job boards, search engines and apps pick up your jobs every day. The Register at SourceTracker link in the settings takes you there.

Odoo Online does not allow custom modules, so the module needs Odoo.sh or your own Odoo installation.

For developers

The module is open source under the LGPL-3, and its source code is on GitHub. Each Odoo version has its own branch. The README of the module lists how every oJobPub field is filled from Odoo, and the tests check the feed against the official oJobPub schema.
