oJobPub for WordPress: publish your jobs from your own site
Our free WordPress plugin publishes the job openings on your site as an oJobPub feed. It works with WP Job Manager, Job Postings or its own simple job list.

If you don’t have a system for your job openings yet, Publisher maintains your ojobpub.json for you. But many employers already list their jobs on a WordPress site. For them, the oJobPub plugin is now available for free in the WordPress plugin directory. It takes the jobs you already have and publishes them at /.well-known/ojobpub.json on your own domain.
What the plugin does for you
- Works with what you have. The plugin reads your existing listings from WP Job Manager or Job Postings. If you don’t use a job plugin yet, it brings a simple Jobs section of its own.
- Your feed stays valid. Every job is checked against the oJobPub 1.0 rules. A job that is missing something is left out, and the settings screen tells you which one and why, instead of breaking the whole feed.
- Jobs come and go on their own. When the application deadline of a job has passed, it disappears from your feed.
- Job boards see real changes only. The feed’s
lastUpdateddate only changes when your published jobs change. The feed is cached and can be checked cheaply, so frequent polling doesn’t slow down your site. - Google for Jobs included. Job pages from the plugin’s own Jobs section also carry schema.org JobPosting data.
- Works on restrictive hosts. Some hosts answer everything below
/.well-known/themselves and never pass the request to WordPress. For them, the Static file option keeps a copy of the feed at that path. - Applications still come to you. The feed carries a short plain-text summary of each job and links to its page on your site, where the full text and your application process stay.
The plugin makes no requests to external services.
Get started in five steps
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for “oJobPub”, install and activate it.
- Open Settings → oJobPub and check your employer details, default country and default language.
- Under Data source, choose where your jobs come from: the built-in Jobs, WP Job Manager or Job Postings.
- Click Check feed. The plugin fetches your feed the way a job board does and tells you about redirects, wrong content types or stale copies.
- Add your domain to SourceTracker, so job boards, search engines and apps pick up your jobs every day. The settings screen links to it under Get found.
The plugin needs WordPress 6.2 and PHP 7.4 or later.
For developers
The plugin is open source under the GPL, and its source code is on GitHub. If your job plugin or applicant tracking system is not supported yet, you can add it through the ojobpub_sources filter. Further filters let you adjust the jobs, the employer and the finished document. The full list is in the plugin’s description on WordPress.org.
